Division Of Rupee And Paise By A Number
As in the case of addition, subtraction or multiplication of rupees and paise is done in the same way as we do in case of numbers.
Similarly, when we divide money, we do it the same way as we divide numbers. Following examples will illustrate the method.
Illustration 1: Divide: 99 P by 3
Solution: 99 P 3 = 33 P
Illustration 2: Divide: Rs. 115 by 5
Solution: Rs. 115 5 = Rs. 23
Illustration 3: Divide: Rs. 15.00 by 4
Solution: Rs. 15.00 4 = Rs. 3.75
Illustration 4: Divide: Rs. 24.24 by 6
Solution: Rs. 24.24 6 = Rs. 4.04
